Description
The Speedmaster Moonwatch is one of the world’s most iconic timepieces. Having been a part of all six moon landings, the legendary chronograph is an impressive representation of the brand’s adventurous pioneering spirit.
This 42 mm model in 18K Moonshine™ Gold features sapphire crystal glass on both the front and caseback, presented on a polished-brushed bracelet in the same precious metal. The design draws inspiration from the 4th generation Speedmaster worn on the moon. Its black varnished and lacquered double plate step dial is complemented by white varnished and lacquered subdials set within rhodium-plated frames. Details include the OMEGA logo, hands and indexes in 18K Moonshine™ Gold and the famous dot over 90 on the black ceramic bezel ring.
The watch is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, which powers the small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder, along with the central chronograph function.

- Anti-magnetic: The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).

- Small seconds: A hand on a sub-dial which tracks seconds typically it completes a full rotation in one minute.
- Tachymeter: A tachymeter watch has a function for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read in kilometres per hour based on a 1000 metre distance.
- Transparent caseback: A transparent caseback – frequently made of sapphire – makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
