Description

This 42 mm Seamaster Diver 300M, with its case in stainless steel, has a blue rubber strap. The ceramic dial, in OMEGA’s own Summer Blue, is PVD-treated and has a gradient finish to reflect the watch’s level of water resistance. It also includes the 300M’s famous wave pattern.

A blue ceramic bezel with a Summer Blue enamel (Grand feu) diving scale encircles the dial, which has rhodium-plated skeleton hands and raised indexes, filled with a unique light blue Super-LumiNova.

Turning the watch over reveals a stamped commemorative Seamaster logo depicting a trident-bearing Poseidon and two seahorses: OMEGA’s 1956 original and the brand’s current design. Behind which sits OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8800, certified at the industry’s highest level by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

• Anti-magnetic: The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
• Chronometer: Label given to a watch which has been successfully tested by an accredited and independent laboratory in order to receive a certificate compliant with the chronometer ISO 3159 standard.
• Date: The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial at the 3 or 6 o’clock position, or within a subdial at 9 o’clock.
• Helium escape valve: Decompression system which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn for professional use in pressure chambers. (Long-term underwater work, crude oil exploration, etc.)
• Master Chronometer Certified: Guaranteeing the Swiss industry’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance, as set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
• Screw-in crown: Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers’ watches.
• Unidirectional rotating bezel: A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.
